Daily Prayer

God of Providence, thank you for attending to our needs even before we ask. We pray for others and ourselves today; especially we pray for:

  • People with cancer and other chronic illness
  • Healing for our land
  • Sight for those who are blind
  •  Understanding for those who have no conception of the needs of people who are  not like them
  • Healing for victims of violence and hatred
  • Comfort for children who don’t feel loved
  •  Resolution for victims of senseless violence
  • Justice for people who have been harmed by  governmental policies
  • Christians persecuted because of their faith
  •  A sense of responsibility from people serving in public office
  • Patients for those who are disconcerted by their fears
  • Children who have lost their way
  • Wisdom for all public officials
  • Every church open in the name of Jesus

We lay our burdens on your altar. Have mercy on your people. Have mercy on your world. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Focus Scripture: John 16:23-24 (NLT)

At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.
