It’s All Good (Luke 12:27)

Have you ever been stopped in your tracks by the sheer beauty of something you did not create and cannot explain? A sunset that turns the sky into fire. Clouds drifting against a blue so deep it seems infinite. The unexpected fragrance of lavender as you walk past a garden. A breeze that cools your skin on a warm afternoon.
These moments arrive without warning and often leave you speechless, caught in a quiet awareness that you are in the presence of something greater than yourself.
Jesus pointed to exactly this kind of awareness in Luke 12:27: “Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”
The point is not simply that nature is beautiful, though it surely is. The point is that nature reveals something about the One who made it. The lilies do not worry about their appearance. They do not strive or scramble. They simply grow, and in growing, they display a glory that human effort cannot replicate. If God clothes the grass of the field with such care, how much more will He care for you?
These moments of wonder are not accidental. They are invitations. They call us to pause, to breathe, and to remember that we are held by the same hands that painted the sky and shaped the mountains. The magnificence of creation is not a distraction from our concerns. It is a reminder that our concerns are held by someone far greater than we are.
When you find yourself captivated by a sunset or a flower or a breeze, let it settle into your soul. Let it quiet your anxious heart. Let it remind you that God is present, God is good, and it is all His. And it is all good.
