Focus Scripture – John 3:16
Through God’s amazing grace we are offered forgiveness of sin, eternal salvation, and new life in Jesus Christ. God loved the world so much that he sent Jesus, his only Son, to save humankind from sin and death (John 3:16). And through Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit God will establish an eternal Kingdom characterized by justice, love, and peace for the whole world (1 Corinthians 15:24-28; Matthew 25:31-46).
But that’s not all. Romans 10:13 tells us that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. The scripture further states: “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved” (Romans 10:10, NIV). This process of salvation begins on earth and ends in heaven. All we are asked to do is repent and believe (Romans 10:9-13). When we believe, we will invite Jesus into our lives.
If you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, I invite you to get acquainted with him. Salvation is only a prayer away.
“Loving God, I confess that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sin. I believe that Jesus can save me. I believe that through his death and resurrection I am forgiven and that my faith in Jesus is sufficient for my salvation. Thank you, Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!”
