Daily Prayer

Daily Prayer Focus Scripture: Psalm 137:1-4 Beside the rivers of Babylon, we sat and wept as we thought of Jerusalem. We put away our harps, hanging them on the branches of poplar trees. For our captors demanded a song from us. Our tormentors insisted on a joyful hymn: “Sing us one of those songs of Jerusalem!” But how can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a pagan land?

Merciful God, you walk with us each day we dwell in our valleys of despair. You guard our hearts so that our sorrow will not overcome us. You have kept us by your grace. You sustain us with your steadfast love. We are grateful for all that you do to help us on this journey. Uplift our hearts so that we may sing again. We thank you in advance. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
