Daily Prayer

Daily Prayer Focus: Hebrews 8:1-2 (NLT)

Here is the main point: We have a High Priest who sat down in the place of honor beside the throne of the majestic God in heaven. There he ministers in the heavenly Tabernacle, the true place of worship that was built by the Lord and not by human hands.

Compassionate God, we come into your presence believing all things are possible with you. We lift up our brokenness to you and rely on your love to heal and sustain us. We pray especially for:

  • Families impacted by gun violence
  • A voice for those who are voiceless
  • Those who have been cast aside by society
  • Children who have been abused and mistreated
  • People who are working for justice
  • People who are overworked and underpaid
  • Those with troubled minds
  • People who don’t fit in
  • Clergy and other spiritual leaders
  • People who are lonely
  • Those who can’t see their future from here
  • People who are chronically ill
  • People who are grieving the loss of loved ones
  • First responders around the world

God, we know that you are faithful. Please hear our prayers and answer. Have mercy on your people. Have mercy on your world. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
