Daily Prayer – Water for the Thirsty: Isaiah 44:3-4

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
And floods on the dry ground;
I will pour My Spirit on your descendants,
And My blessing on your offspring;
They will spring up among the grass
Like willows by the watercourses.’

God of all mercy, we are thirsty for your living water. We lift up our prayer concerns today. We pray especially for:

  • People who have been ridiculed
  • Families victimized by gun violence
  • Those who are struggling to survive
  • Justice workers and peacemakers
  • Those who are nursing wounds
  • Those who have been cast aside by others
  • Those who find it difficult to fit in
  • Children who are confused
  • Those with hearts full of resentment
  • Children whose hearts are broken
  • People in nursing homes, hospitals, and hospice
  • Those who need more tolerance
  • Those in need of a new perspective
  • Those who have lost their joy
  • People who have been deceived
  • Those who are overwhelmed

God our Provider, please hear our prayers and answer. Have mercy on your people. Have mercy on your world. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
