A Walk in the Wilderness

Focus Scripture: Psalm 30:11-12. You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my soul may praise you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever.

Merciful God, we need you today. There are some people among us whose bodies hurt, and we are tired from the journey. Some of us can’t quite see the light at the end of the tunnel today, O God. But we know you are with us through it all. We think about what the Psalmist said, and we reflect back on the times when you indeed have turned our mourning into dancing. There have been times when we were so low, but you lifted us up and clothed us with joy. We pray that those memories will sustain us today. We pray that you will give us enough strength for today’s walk in the wilderness. We love you, and in all things we give you honor, praise, and glory. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
