Rescue from the Pit

Rescue from the Pit

Focus Scripture: Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry .He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.

Redeemer God, you are awesome. Thank you for rescuing us from a horrible pit. Thank you for setting our feet on solid ground and for quieting our spirits when we were uncertain about our next steps. You have been our refuge and our dwelling place. We don’t know what we would do without your love. In all things, we give you the glory. We pray it in the name of Jesus. Amen.
