Daily Prayer

Daily Prayer Focus Scripture: Psalm 107:17-22  Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins. They couldn’t stand the thought of food, and they were knocking on death’s door. “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death. Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing joyfully about his glorious acts.

Gracious God, you know all about us. You recognize our lowly status and rescue us from our troubles. You speak a word from on high to heal us. You deliver us from death and keep us from falling. You go above and beyond because you love us. We are so grateful for your love. We exalt you above the heaven and the earth. And we bless your holy name. We pray for others and ourselves today. We pray especially for people who are grieving the loss of loved ones, people who have a sense of sacred calling and people who are embarking on something new. Bless them indeed. In your Holy Name, we pray. Amen.
