Hope in Times of Trouble

Romans 5:3-5 (NLT)  We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Faithful God, thank you for rescuing us from despair. Even in the midst of trouble, thank you for fortifying our faith. Through our struggles, O God, we ask that you will help us to endure. Strengthen us along the way, dear Lord. Through our trials, help us to develop a character based on the hope that trouble don’t last always. Help us to keep on keeping on by the power of your Holy Spirit who fills our hearts with your love. In all things we give you glory. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
