Daily Prayer

Focus Scripture – Psalm 107:39-43 (NRSV) When they are diminished and brought low through oppression, trouble, and sorrow, he pours contempt on princes and makes them wander in trackless wastes; but he raises up the needy out of distress, and makes their families like flocks. The upright see it and are glad; and all wickedness stops its mouth. Let those who are wise give heed to these things, and consider the steadfast love of the Lord.

God of Justice, thank you for your Word that gives us hope in these troubled times. Thank you for raising up the needy and delivering them from their distress. We pray that you will lift us up when we are bowed down with grief. We pray that you will help us feel your joy in the morning. Thank you for your mercy and your grace. In all things, we give you glory! In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
