Focus Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 8 Three times I appealed to the Lord about this, that it would leave me, 9 but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
Gracious God, the giver of everything that is good and perfect, we come humbly expressing our love and gratitude for all that you have done in our lives. You have called us to a holy calling and given us a work to do. We are so grateful. Help us to give back to you the very best of what you’ve given us. Help us to walk in a way that is pleasing in your sight. Give us the wisdom to do what is right for your people. Help us to seek your guidance every step of the way. Lead us, O God. For if you lead us, we will not stray. Humble us and help us to do your holy will. Help us to be what we need to be as disciples in the present day. When we are weak, help us to rely on your grace, for your grace is sufficient. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
