Daily Prayer

Focus Scripture: Hebrews 11:24-26 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.

Almighty God, give us strength and courage not to follow the lure of the crowd. Help us to stay on the path that leads to your will. We pray for others today, especially leaders in governmental positions, children who have been abused, our communities and our households, and for pastors and other spiritual leaders. Have mercy on your people, O God. Have mercy on your world. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
