Daily Prayer

Focus Scripture – John 21:3b – 6 They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?”

They answered Him, “No.”

And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.

God of Abundance, show us where to cast our nets so we may receive your blessings. We lift up our prayer concerns today. We pray especially for:

  • The lost and lonely.
  • Those who are headed down destructive pathways.
  • People who are weary of senseless violence.
  • Refugees seeking safe harbor.
  • People with their back against the wall.
  • Those battling chronic disease.
  • People who are addicted.
  • People who are brokenhearted.
  • People who don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
  • Those who need a personal savior.

Almighty God, please hear our prayers and answer. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
