Daily Prayer

Focus Scripture: Psalm 40: 1-3  I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth—praise to our god; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the lord.

Merciful God, help us to see, hear, and feel your presence today. We pray for others and ourselves today. We pray especially for:

  • Protection from hurt, harm, and danger.
  • Healing for our government and our land.
  • Wisdom for our leaders and political officials.
  • Discernment so that we might know the truth.
  • Healing for those who are chronically ill.
  • People who feel surrounded by enemies.
  • Those who are addicted.
  • Those who need spiritual strength.
  • Those who are afraid to trust in God.
  • Those who search for meaning in their lives.

Help us to keep on the whole armor today. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
