Daily Prayer

Focus Scripture: Psalm 27:7-9 Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud, be gracious to me and answer me! “Come,” my heart says, “seek his face!” Your face, Lord, do I seek. Do not hide your face from me. Do not turn your servant away in anger, you who have been my help. Do not cast me off, do not forsake me, O God of my salvation!

Merciful God, we seek your face in these times of division. Do not turn away from us, for we need you now. This day, we pray for others and ourselves; in particular, we pray for government leaders and politicians, people who can’t see their future from here, and children victimized by violence. We pray for people in hospitals, hospice, and nursing homes. We pray for people attending to the needs of elderly parents. Have mercy on them. Please bless them in every way. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen
