Daily Prayer

Focus Scripture – Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out from their distress; he made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad because they had quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.

Almighty God, we stand in awe of your power. Thank you for hearing our cries and calming our storms. You are great, O God, and much to be praised! You speak peace to our spirits in times of trouble. We are eternally grateful for your mercy and grace. Forgive us of our sins. Have mercy on your people, in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Daily Prayer

Focus Scripture: Psalm 127:1-2  Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain. It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved.

Holy God, thank you for always having our best interests at heart. You bless us even though we tend to want to do things our way. Help us to abide in your will. Help us to carry out those things you have called us to do. Help us to acknowledge that you are in control. Help us to understand that if we follow where you lead us, everything will be okay. In all things we thank you, praise you, and give you the glory. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
