God, You Are Faithful!

Daily Prayer

Loving God, we thank you because you are faithful! We exalt your name. In all things we give your praise! We pray for others and ourselves today. We pray especially for:

  • People with chronic illness
  • Traumatized children and their families
  • Children who have been orphaned
  • Teachers and mentors
  • Military personnel on active duty
  • People who have lost their joy
  • Those who are homeless and hungry
  • Those with hearts full of resentment
  • People with a sacred calling
  • Members of the clergy
  • Churches open in your holy name

God of Grace, we lay our burdens on your altar. Have mercy on your people. Have mercy on your world. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Protect Me From My Enemies

Daily Prayer

Protector God, shield our hearts and minds from hateful words and evil intentions. We pray for others and ourselves today. We pray especially for:

  • Elders struggling to make ends meet
  • Children without hope
  • Children who can’t see their future from here
  • Law enforcement officers
  • Victims of police brutality
  • Families impacted by senseless violence
  • Government leaders and politicians
  • Mothers who have lost children
  • Our communities and households
  • Families around the world
  • Pastors and other clergy
  • Churches open in your name

Please hear our prayers and answer. Have mercy on your people. Have mercy on your world. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

We Long to Please You

Merciful God, we submit to your authority today. Help us to listen to you, follow you, and lead lives that are pleasing in your sight. We pray for others and ourselves today. We pray especially for:

  • People who feel the sting of broken promises
  • People who wish their lives had turned out a different way
  • People who are unable to forgive themselves
  • Those who have no joy
  • Those who work for reconciliation
  • People who are frightened by the challenges they face
  • Those who ache from the pain of church hurt
  • People who struggle to make sense of their circumstances
  • People who are hiding from God
  • People who are chronically ill
